Danielle Waterman: Y2K Collection

My favorite part of being a stylist in New York City is the spontaneity of creative projects. It’ll start with a quick text, and next thing you know, you’re on set with a whole team of people with the singular goal of making something look awesome. I was allowed full creative freedom on the hairstyles for this photoshoot, with the concept being ‘Y2K’. When given the opportunity, I like to create a range of looks consisting of techniques I‘ve either never tried, or don’t get to do often. I also find it a fun and resourceful challenge to transform and repurpose my used wigs and hairpieces into an entirely new style and/or color. The best part is at the end of the day we were able to have these images published, and the collection placed me as a finalist in a National hair competition—all from a fun day in the studio!
